Today’s podcast guests are Jonna and Sini, the co-founders of Laine Magazine. Laine is a high-quality Nordic knit & lifestyle magazine that celebrates natural fibres, slow living, local craftsmanship and beautiful, simple things in life. This is a magazine that inspires knitters but also contains lifestyle pieces like city guides, delicious recipes and feature interviews. Laine Magazine is enriched with all of Jonna and Sini's passions as photographers, story tellers and knitters.
What really ignites me in this interview is the unapologetic explanation of why Jonna and Sini create the way they do and shape their business the way they do. In a world where online criticism comes fast and furious, they hold to their ideals and standards because they know that when all is said and done, it is their business. They feel good about what they put out into the world and why shouldn’t they? All too often I see a feeling of entitlement about how things are presented and marketed. Jonna and Sini know that they can’t please everyone but they can please a group of us enormously so they will push as hard as they can to give the most they can. I have nothing but respect for that.

I’ve decided to run two podcast episodes this month, simply because I has two very special conversations in a close amount of time to one another that dovetailed nicely. I will still release the exclusive podcast for Patreon subscribers as well. It’s a little bit of an acceleration but in a gentle, thoughtful kind of way, hopefully. If you want to help make this a permanent change, please do consider supporting via Patreon. it helps pay the team that makes this happen.
